Buckshot, 9th Wonder Prep Album For April
Thursday, February 14, 2008 By: Kenny Rodriguez
Following the success of their 2005 album, “Chemistry,” rapper Buckshot and producer 9th Wonder are reuniting to drop another LP, “The Formula,” slated to hit stores in April.
“Every song is dealing with a topic,” explained Buckshot. “Each track specifically has a formula, hence where the title of the album came from.”
The Brooklyn emcee first began recording with 9th Wonder several years ago, leading up to several affiliated Boot Camp Click and Justus League collaborations.
“I’ve always had a certain sound within hip-hop, and 9th Wonder helps bring out my unique style. We share a comfort level that allows me to be at ease when it comes to recording and that natural sound translates into great music.”
“The Formula” hits stores on April 15th via Duck Down Records.
In related news, Buckshot and his Boot Camp collective are hitting the road as part of Duck Down’s “USA Summer Label” tour, scheduled for 35 cities.
Meanwhile, 9th Wonder’s production can be heard on Erykah Badu’s latest single, “Honey.”
