Hot Boys Reunion Show Ends After Gunshots
Wednesday, February 20, 2008 By: Kenny Rodriguez
Gunshots put a halt to a Hot Boys reunion show in New Orleans before it even started, resulting with three people being hospitalized.
Lil Wayne, Juvenile, B.G., and Mannie Fresh were scheduled to perform early Monday morning at a local club Dream, but shots rang out before any of them reached the venue.
Two women, both 24, and a man, 26, were shot outside the club at around 1 a.m., and quickly rushed to a local hospital.
The victims were standing on the sidewalk and began running when they heard gunshots, according to a police report.
The event was immediately cancelled for the night. There are no suspects or motives as of yet.
The Hot Boys reunion was planned as part of this year’s NBA All-Star Weekend, and it would have been the group’s first joint performance in several years, excluding group member Turk who is currently in prison.
Other artists slated to perform included Rick Ross, DJ Khaled, and Baby of Cash Money Records.
