Harlem’s Jae Millz Signs To Lil Wayne’s Label
Monday, March 3, 2008 By: Kenny Rodriguez
Harlem rapper Jae Millz has confirmed that he is the newest addition to Young Money Records, an imprint founded by Lil Wayne under Cash Money Records.
“We’re just drawing up the paperwork, but I’ve been rocking with [Lil Wayne] since the first week in 2008,” said Jae Millz, who is still affiliated to his previous label Wanna Blow Entertainment.
The 24-year-old artist was discovered on MTV’s “Making The Band” in 2003, hosted by rap mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs.
Later that year, he released the single “No, No, No” on Warner Bros., before jumping to SRC/Universal Records, and ultimately becoming a free agent.
Millz expects to drop his official debut this June.
Previous artists signed to Young Money Records included Currency and Boo (of Boo & Gotti), but its recent roster consists of newcomers Mack Maine and Nicki Minaj.
