Fokis’ Lens Co-Signed By DJ Absolut

 Lower East Side, NY artist Fokis is capturing his own struggle to earn a record deal in a self made film called ‘Road To The Riches.’
“Not only is he a talented artist but he is very persistent, has a good head on his shoulders and is definitely about his business,” says Hot 97’s DJ Absolut of Fokis. “I had to be a part of his movement."
Manhattan native Fokis gives himself a year to get in shape and build the proper networks to secure a record contract. His film offers segments of Fokis handling everyday scenarios and issues which face independent artists.
"I know that your appearance is very important in this business and being in shape is important for your health so I challenged my self to lose 50 to 60lbs in a years time,” says Fokis. It’s a battle that many people face. I know if I can achieve my goal I will inspire many people as well."

DJ Absolut is working on the film’s soundtrack, due out this spring, which reportedly features popular independents Joe Budden and Joel Ortiz as well as Atlantic Records’ Deemi.
