Juvenile’s Daughter Laid To Rest On Friday
Monday, March 10, 2008 By: Kenny Rodriguez
Juvenile’s four-year-old daughter, who was killed last week in a tragic family shooting, was laid to rest on Friday.
Two weeks ago, police found the bodies of Joy Deleston, 39, and her two daughters, Micaiah, 11, and Jelani, 4, in their family home.
Anthony Tyrone Terrell, the 17-year-old son of Deleston, was arrested and charged with the murder of his mother and her two children.
Terrell is currently being held in DeKalb County Jail, as he faces three counts of first-degree murder and three counts of aggravated assault.
Meanwhile, over 500 mourners attended the First Baptist Church in Charleston, South Carolina, to pay their respects.
During the eulogy, Nathaniel Deleston – brother of the deceased mother – expressed anger towards his nephew, but urged fellow mourners not to rush to judgment.
“I am waiting for answers to our questions, but I trust God to give us our answers,” Deleston said. “I’m not going to turn my back on my nephew.”
Police have yet to disclose a possible motive behind the fatal shootings.
In 2006, rapper Juvenile admitted to being the father of the young girl after a two-year long paternity suit. He was not present at the funeral.
