Monday, March 17, 2008 By: Kenny Rodriguez
After months of postponements, Lil Wayne’s long-awaited album, “Tha Carter III,” has been given a new release date – May 13.
As his sixth solo album, it will be the final installment in the “Carter” trilogy, following up previous LPs “Tha Carter” (2004) and “Tha Carter II” (2005).
Wayne has been hyping up the highly-anticipated album, mentioning a host of producers that have contributed to the project – including Kanye West, Cool & Dre, Mannie Fresh, Timbaland, David Banner, Swizz Beatz, and the Alchemist.
Meanwhile, guest cameos are said to include Jay-Z, Eminem, Juelz Santana, Busta Rhymes, the Game, and fellow Cash Money artist Baby.
Despite the long list of artists, it is still unknown which songs will make the final tracklist.
