Brooklyn’s Nino Bless to Drop Heavy Street Scriptures
Monday, May 5, 2008 By: Mike Ivey Jr.
Brooklyn Boricua Nino Bless May 20 independently releases ‘Untold Scriptures,’ a “street album” that features a who’s who of mixtape all-stars including Styles P, Saigon, Crooked I, Joell Ortiz, and Joe Budden.
According to Bless, grass-roots taste-makers Big Mike, Mick Boogie and J Love are assisting with marketing and promotion of ‘Untold Scriptures,’ which features production by Focus (Aftermath), Scram Jones, Veterano, and Blackout Movement. ‘Untold Scriptures’ will be available for free download and for purchase at various physical and digital outlets.
"So far, the response has been dope,” says Bless. “At this moment I have to keep it going and I think this is a good representation of what I can bring to the table."
The young rappers’ alliance with prolific west coast spitter Crooked I has also spawned a collaborative mixtape, due out this summer. Dow Jones of The Bizness provides production for the burgeoning project.
