T.I.’s Album Pushed Forward To August
Monday, May 12, 2008 By: Kenny Rodriguez
As T.I. awaits sentencing on federal gun charges, the Atlanta rapper recently announced that his upcoming album, “Paper Trial,” is being pushed up to August.
“There was a great demand for the product,” T.I. said about the LP, which was initially slated to drop in September.
Last week, the track “No Matter What,” produced by Timbaland’s protégé Danja, was leaked onto the Internet and began circulating on several websites and blogs.
“Once we put out ‘No Matter What,’ we got so much positive response that we moved up the date.”
No word yet on the album’s first official single, although T.I. mentioned that he may choose a song titled “Top of the World,” featuring Kanye West.
“It’s a reflective song about our humble beginnings and how [far] we’ve come,” T.I. said.
“Paper Trial” now hits stores on Aug. 12 via Atlantic Records.
Meanwhile, T.I. continues to perform community service until next year, when he will be sentenced for various weapons charges.
T.I., born Clifford Harris, was arrested in October 2007 for allegedly trying to buy unregistered machine guns and silencers.
